Welcome Dr. Jennie Grove!

Welcome Dr. Jennie Grove! Sep29th 2016

We are pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Jennie Grove, physical therapist, to our Broadway Office. Jennie graduated from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in exercise science and a minor in Spanish. Upon graduation she became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania in February 2010. After graduation, Jennie spent two years providing pro-bono physical therapy services and community development activities to the under-served residents of rural Jamaica. Upon returning to the U.S. in 2012 she moved to Virginia and has served as a home health and outpatient physical therapist working with the geriatric population in the Shenandoah Valley. She has also continued her work abroad leading and participating in short-term mission trips to Guatemala and Haiti. She believes in promoting overall health and fitness across the age spectrum, and has a special interest in Parkinson’s disease. In 2014 she became certified in LSVT BIG®, a treatment methodology that has been shown to improve gait speed and balance as well as the overall quality of life of patients with Parkinson’s disease. Jennie and her husband recently relocated to Harrisonburg, and are now anticipating the arrival of their son in January 2017. Originally from Ruch, Oregon, Jennie enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, volunteering, baking, sports and outdoor recreation, and reading a good book. We are excited to have Jennie on board and look forward to the clinical experience and knowledge she brings to further patient care.
